Cove Ridge Chalet, a Watauga Lake Cabin Rental, overlooks one of the most beautiful lakes in the U.S., Watauga Lake. Imagine an emerald green lake with pristine natural forests, abundant wildlife, majestic mountains and some of the friendliest local folk you will ever meet, and you begin to understand the Cove Ridge Chalet experience.

The chalet is located in northeast Tennessee near the small community of Butler. Accessible year round via paved county-maintained roads, you will be near enough to small mountain towns for spur of the moment visits to antique shops, sight seeing or grocery shopping while still being within an easy drive to larger cities such as Elizabethton, Johnson City or Boone, N.C. All of this while having access and views of one of the prettiest lakes you will ever see.

NASCAR fans will be pleased to learn that we are located just 25 miles from the Bristol Motor Speedway.

Need a little solitude and privacy? You’ve got that too. Want a little company? Just leave a few apples in the side yard and wait for visitors.

Watauga Lake is not only one of the most beautiful lakes in the U.S., it is also among the three cleanest. Sailing, power boating and house boating are just some of the recreational activities you will enjoy. Like to fish? Nearby streams afford some of the best fly fishing anywhere. The lake is also a favorite of weekend anglers, as well as tournament fishermen. How about snow skiing? The ski slopes of Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Wolf Laurel and Appalachian Ski Resorts are an easy drive.

Cove Ridge Chalet is owned by, and is the former home of, Cathy and Cliff Blair who live in the area year round. Cathy teaches second grade at Little Milligan School (147 students in grades K through 8) while Cliff, recently retired, strives to do as little as possible. Cathy is also an Exclusive Buyer’s Agent and loves helping others find cabins, homes or property so that they, too, can enjoy this peaceful, serene mountain lake experience.

Reservations/Confirmation
A deposit of one half (50%) of the total price of your visit is required in advance to secure your reservation. At the time we receive your prepayment, a receipt will be mailed confirming your reservation.

Cancellations/Date Change
We apologize for any inconvenience, but no monies will be refunded unless the chalet is re-rented for the same period as your reservation. If the chalet is re-rented, your deposit will be refunded less a 15% handling fee.

Payment
You may use cash, travelers checks or money order to pay your reservation deposit as well as the balance of your bill. You may pay in advance by personal check if the check is received 30 days prior to your check-in date. Full payment is due upon arrival. Your driver’s license number is required with all forms of payment and will be recorded upon arrival.

Registration
All guests must be registered prior to stay. The maximum occupancy for Cove Ridge Chalet is 7 people. The person paying for the cabin rental is responsible for showing these policies to each individual in the group prior to arrival. Each individual’s agreement to and acceptance of these policies is indicated by each individual’s arrival on the property.

NO SMOKING ALLOWED
Smoking is allowed outside only.

NO PETS
If pets are discovered, they will have to be boarded. The tenant must pay for any damages plus a non-refundable $125.00 (plus tax) fee for pest extermination. We reserve the right to not refund deposits, refuse rentals, and to terminate the occupancies if, in our opinion, the occupancy is detrimental to the property.

Damage/Missing Items
The individual who made the reservation and/or paid for the reservation is responsible for the replacement cost(s) of any and all damaged or missing items (“losses”) belonging to Cove Ridge Chalet that occurred during the individual’s stay.

Liability
Each person who arrives on the property does so at their own risk and accepts full liability for that risk and whatever occurs to them while they are on the property. Each child must have a guardian and that guardian accepts full liability and responsibility for the care and welfare of that child. The property owner cannot be held liable or responsible for harm to you or other individual(s) from your carelessness, the carelessness of the individual harmed, or the carelessness of others. The owner cannot be held liable or responsible for any harm or damage caused by acts of nature or god. Each person who arrives on the property accepts full responsibility for their own actions and agrees to be liable and responsible for those actions. Each person accepts full liability and responsibility for their own possessions.
 

Watauga Lake Tn offers plenty of exciting activities to please every member of your family or group. There are boat rentals available, canoeing, fishing, swimming, water skiing, jet skiing and more. However, Watauga Lake is just a short drive (less than 30-45 minutes) to most of the High Country area of Western North Carolina as well as Roan Mountain State Park in Tennessee. No matter what time of year, there are plenty of exciting activities in the High Country.
