The Original Mast General Store - On the National Register of Historical Places, the Mast General Store was opened in 1883 as the General Store for Valle Crucis.  Still open today, the Mast General Store is a pillar of our historic community and as Charles Kuralt says "a destination"  

Grandfather Mountain - Only minutes away from Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina's most popular scenic attraction, be sure to make some time to enjoy the Mile High Swinging Bridge.  With beautiful views and exhibits, Grandfather Mountain is fun for the whole family.
