 On the Blue Ridge Parkway between North Carolina's Mt. Mitchell (the tallest peak east of the Rockies) and Grandfather Mountain (with the mile-high swinging bridge), the Switzerland Inn has delighted visitors since 1910 with its fantastic mountain views and easy access to NC's Blue Ridge Parkway. The Inn features 72 Blue Ridge mountain-view rooms, private chalets, a honeymoon cottage and the Diamondback Motorcycle Lodge with covered motorcycle parking. Our mountaintop resort features a host of amenities including unique arts and crafts shopping, full service restaurant, 2 patio bars, tennis courts and a swimming pool with two outdoor hot tubs - just to name a few.

Our renowned Chalet Restaurant at Switzerland Inn overlooks the scenic Blue Ridge mountain valley. We serve a full NC mountain breakfast, Blue Ridge lunch and Parkway dinner at your convenience. Our Friday Night Fresh Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet is sold-out popular and a favorite of our guests and the residents of nearby Spruce Pine and the Little Switzerland NC community. Beer, wine and mixed beverages are served in the Chalet Restaurant and in the 2 adjoining cocktail bars.

Little Switzerland NC has an average July temperature of a cool, pleasant 68 degrees. Switzerland Inn is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mile Post 334, at the peak of The Diamondback Motorcycle and Sports Car Route. The Inn, the Shops at Little Switzerland and the Switzerland Inn Chalet Restaurant are within two hours driving distance of Asheville, Charlotte, Hickory, and Johnson City. Perhaps even faster if you're on a motorcycle.

We even have a multi-bedroom cottage tucked away under the trees that is just right for motorcycling groups riding the Blue Ridge Parkway or for the Groomsmen in a wedding party.

Our Chalet Restaurant, bar and club room are perfect for gatherings of friends, family, classmates or business associates. Experience the mountain views, lush landscaping and the gentle Blue Ridge Mountain breezes that inspired the founders of the Little Switzerland community in 1910. 

Switzerland Inn provides an ideal backdrop for weddings and reunions. Your celebration or banquet can be held outdoors with a backdrop of spectacular mountain views or indoors in our Swiss-inspired lobby/reception area. 

Discounted room rates may be available for parties reserving 20 or more rooms.

Complimentary Services: For registered guests, all rates include use of swimming pool (in season), tennis courts and shuffle-board.

Check-In Time: After 3 PM daily as rooms become available. Check-out time is 11 AM. PETS ARE PERMITTED ONLY IN A-FRAME COTTAGES—a $20 per day pet fee will be charged.

Reservations, Guarantees, Deposits and Refunds: Reservations must be guaranteed with a deposit equal to your first night's charges for all rooms reserved. The deposit is charged to your credit card on the day you make your reservation. We have a 10 day cancellation policy with a $20 cancellation fee per room. This means that if you give us 10 days notice we will give you a refund minus $20 for each room cancelled. If you give us less than 10 days notice we will keep your entire deposit. Your deposit guarantees your arrival and it is applied to the last night of the reservation. If you reserve a room for 3 days but only stay 2, we consider this a cancellation of reserved nights and you will forfeit your deposit.

Early departures are considered cancellations of reserved days and are subject to the appropriate nightly charges.

All rates are per day and quoted exclusive of taxes. Published rates are subject to availability and change.

WITHIN 10 DAYS THE DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE

We do accept a AAA discount of $10.00 except on holiday weekends and in the month of October.
