This secluded 400 acre retreat, located on the North Toe River, offers peace, quiet and tranquility. Just a mile and a half off the Blue Ridge Parkway, Springmaid Mountain is the perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Springmaid Mountain is open year round.
Whether you are visiting the area for a romantic getaway or planning a vacation full of family fun make Springmaid Mountain your destination choice. The Overlook House is tucked away within our retreat for maximum privacy and relaxation. Cozy up on the couch and watch a movie on our new flat panel TV or kick back and relax on the porch enjoying the mountainous views from your rocking chair. Our master bedroom features a queen-size bed and its own private bathroom. Our other two bedrooms contains two twin beds in each with an adjoining bathroom.

Cabin amenities include towels, linens, microwave oven, coffee pot, and television with satellite TV. Check in 4:00 PM and check out 11:00 AM. No pets allowed in cabins. Pets on leash permitted in campground. Rates do not include State and Local taxes.

Campsites with water and electrical hookup, dump station, bath-house and laundry facilities. Accommodates 2.
Activities
Fishing in Springmaid Mountain Ponds requires a $5.00 permit / $3.00 per trout (all other fish are free of charge).
Fishing in the North Toe River is free, however a NC fishing license is required.

There are always things to do in and around Springmaid Mountain year-round. On-site we offer guided horseback riding, fishing, hayrides and hiking trails. We also do rafting, canoeing, and kayaking trips as well as tubing.
Just a short drive away visit some of the art galleries, unique shops and eateries in Downtown Spruce Pine. Rockhounds can visit multiple gem mines in the area as well as enjoying Spruce Pine's Annual Mineral & Gem Festival featuring worldwide vendors. Other local places to visit include the Blue Ridge Soap Shed, the Orchard at Altapass, Grassy Creek Golf Course, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns and Little Switzerland. Enjoy the beautiful Spring flowers or the Summer mountain breezes of Mitchell Co. NC. During the Fall be sure to revel in the beautiful foliage and hit the nearby ski slopes during those cool Winter months.
